Hi tuner gurus , a local "chiptuner " was tuning this car via obd , not sure with what tool and all of a sudden the engine died and cannot restart . There is also no communication between any diagnostic equipment (vagcom , kts and launch)
I have a bdm and xprogm , could I please ask for a std map to get this car running again, the details of the ecu :EDC16U1
03G 906 016 cb 0281 011 900.
The reason they were tuning the car was to get earlier boost after fitting a 2056 turbo which only started boosting from 3000 rpm , if there is a map for this it would be greatly appreciated .Thanks ,regards

I think it is standard but have not tested it (I leach files that look useful from everywhere and keep them in my database for situations similar to yours).

Yes use BDM to write it if you cant communicate with the ECU.

Your file is 100% original.

Excuse the big delay in returning feedback here . Things have gone worse after re flashing the ecu with a donated dump , dim sport does not recognize the ecu and pops up a menu where i have to select a "family'', upon selecting vw edc16 and going to the advance option the buttons to read and write are no longer highlighted .Please tell me what to do to restore to working condition , thanks ,regards

You have some resistor broken in ecu.

The original problem was the result of a bad tuning file (or so they say )I reflashed with a full bdm file and then this happened . can software damage hardware ?

No software damage hardware. The "specialist" in bad tuning damage hardware.

Using genius have you tried recovery mode using file from here? You probably have flashed a file with incorrect or no checksum which is a no no when using genius as it doesn't correct checksum on that car.
