Hi Guys,
This is getting more and more important as keys are wearing out on the Xsara II. cars and owners look for replacement fobs, and Citroen quotes ?150 for a new fob+programming!
On these cars the the transponder is linked to the remote, so if we just put a simple transponder in the "new" key fob the car will start, but the remote will not work!
I did an old Renault with an IR fob the other day and I thought the same solution might work on these cars aswell! In the Renault I read out the dump from the original key's MCU, and copied that onto the secondhand key's MCU, and the remote worked well!
Would this solution work with these keys?
