Hi All,

I have a silly question regarding used ID46 chips for other cars. Over time I have collected many used remtoes which have ID46 chips inside these used remote keys, I am planning to refurbish these remote keys and am wondering if these used chips inside can be used again for other models of same make. For example, can my used Hyundai I30 remote keys be used again for other I30 cars ? or do I have to replace the ship with precoded Hyundai ID46 chips?

Also, can we download these precoded ID46 configuration data from somewhere so we can precode ID46 for various make as we go? Thanks in advance.

Simple answer is no!, but you can use them if you know where to write the key logic into the immo/ecu dump, some you can change the soldered type pcfxxxx chips, precode with Z bull, and re use,see zZ bull for application.

To be honest,i dont think its worth the effort,i keep them for parts, you know the board, switches, coils, caps, etc,i make more to repair a remote(from a broken /locked remote),than trying to programm same remote, onto another car, where applicable.
