Hi all,
it is possible to update VW Steering Wheel Control Module???
Because of Midline/Highline sofiware problems and software.... Or do I have to always buy new one??
Thanks for your answers and experience.

Are you trying to retrofit Cruise Control or something?
Normally the lowline ones don't even have terminals in the cruise switch connector.

I c.... I suppose that Lowline/Midline/Highline cant be updated... e.g. Midline to Highline.... If I am wrong tell me...
But If you have highline version with software e.g. SW 0070 and want to update it to software version SW 0101 ... Is it possible??
Thanks

Probably but I don't know. Why do you want to do this?

Because of MFSW e.g.
It's not cheap to always buy a new steering column unit....

My guess would be to solder the missing pins to your existing unit, and simply "dump" the EEPROM from the one that you want. This is assuming that you can find someone to backup the EEPROM in the first place.
Today, I looked at my stock ***AQ unit and the replacement ***CD unit, and didn't see anything different hardware-wise other than the missing pins. I suspect the other changes are in EEPROM
