I've downloaded the incal discs and burned them to dvd's but can't figure out how to change my ISB 5.9 from 275 hp to 300 hp, Am i way off base here??

Hi m8,

In order for you to do the ECM calibration change you need to have Cummins Insite Pro level licence, Cummins Incal MD disk and Active, Fleet Counts available and being able to connect to the ECM from your computer.

Once you have all of the above and connected.... on your Insite program click on Calibration Selection, Select the right ECM Part number, select from the list on the right the correct CPL for your ISB 5.9... then select the right Incal file acording to your engine config. and once you find the right Incal file and must be an active file. do a right click on the file and click Transfer to ECM and follow the instructions on the screen. I hope you can do it man!

I have a problem guys and I need a little help, I flashed my ecm with the 300 hp calibration file and now it says it's 300 hp but now my odometer has reset to 00000 miles, Any suggestions??

Well... I haven?t face that kind of problem just yet. I have worked in the HD engines more than the MD but I?ve never had that problem before.

I think I've found the problem, I compared the 2 flashes and the J91305 is setup for an automatic trans (allison) the J91306 is for manual transmission so I think it's not communicating with the allison ECM, I'm going to flash it back tonight, My thoughts on this situation is I'm stuck with 275 hp.
BTW: this engine is in a 2002 motorhome

Oh ok... well if you have a Automatic Transmission YES, you have to select the incal file acording to the transmission. I hope you be able to resolve that milieage reset issue.

Not a problem... and I?m sorry I wasn?t able to provide useful help 2u. Now on the cummins ISX we get that sort of a problem if the ECM gets replaced or is not calibrated connected on the engine and cabin to be used.

But in your case I now don?t know. Take care bud!

The engine serial number is needed and the ECM Code which you say it is D10004. Once you post your ESN I?ll try to provide the Incal files.

I got my hands on Aug. INCAL DVD today. Working on putting it in an ISO and then zipping them into small pieces as we speak. Look for some links in the next few days.


Edit: ISO made, Zip files created (Side one has 22 files and side two has 17 files 200MB each)
