hi guys, some advice on crt tv,s, thinking of gettin one off the bay for my kids room anyone any thoughts on these tv,s its a panasonic 28 inch, are they ok for wot i wont it for.cheers.chris...

apart from weighing half a tonne and taking up half the room there great

ive a mitsubishi black 28 inch tv for about 8 yeras and it still flying it i have it in the spare sitting room and the young lad uses it all the time its very handy as hes always mauling the screen and its easy clean

Old CRT's have a low interlaced refresh rate, so in a kids bedroon where they're probably gonna sit right up close it aint gonna be good for their eyes..

True, old CRT's are so cheap and practically being given away these days (nobody wants them) but you can get secondhand LCD's on ebay for not much money, it'll take up less space, use less electricity, wont give off loads of heat, and will be better for your kids eyes..
