I have uploaded the firmware to the box, the box has loaded some channels but when i try to view them,
It stays at "please wait, code being updated" for a long time and then finally comes up as "scrambled channel".
Am i doing something wrong

Hi Joe I have the same issue. My eurovox worked fine before december and then most channels where scrambled.
I know I have got to apply the lastest firmware but I am unable to get my laptop connected to the eurovox. I am using the a usb to RS-232. All I seem to see is com3 and nothing more on the download app.
Any ideas??

If you have flashed it then you have flashed it with the incorrect f/w, the s/w version date should be 28 october 2008 for the ex5000pvr.
re-flash with this Digital Kaos - Downloads - UK UFL EX5000 with Autosort 051208 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/firmware/28/uk-ufl-ex5000-autosort-051208-459/)
Then do a factory default and power-scan on the correct symbol rate.
