The keys were from the same car as ECU and Dash?
When the new WAG ID 48 keys are programed the chip is locked in the process so you cannot program chips from other car unless you have the tools to unlock them.

You need the keys too or you need to unlock your old keys and after that adapt them. But I'm guessing you have no tool to unlock them.

TMPRO can unlock this transponder,and SKT100 too.You also need to check you security status before you try programming the key,you could be having security wait time.

AD900 pro can also unlock this transponder

Just buy some new id48 chips to put in the keys, then they will adapt.

New megamos id48 transponders have to be prepared with the 12 bytes component security (eg. via Tango Programmer) before they are capable with your immobilizer.

Cheers,

I've found a few from 2003-2004 that were not CAN so he must read them first.

Normally, in this case, you can swap id48 transponder chips across immoblizer generation, which means:

* Immo3 -> Immo3
* Immo4c -> Immo4c

All Audi A4 8E B6 cars have immobilizer 3.
Some Audi A4 8E B7 have immoblizer 3.
Some Audi A4 8E B7 have immoblizer 4c.

Even kkl>com can adapt keys on this dashboard.

It s K line, it s a A4 convertible 3.0 gas.

I got PIN using K Can commander, and tried to pair th ekeys with vag com...procedure goes ok..light is steady..and then again flashing.

no waiting time, but channels 23 filed 3 is 1 - which means key already programmed.

I wish to know if purchasing a new key from Audi, or going to scrap yard and get the chip from the same Key i got the dash and ECU. will it start? or adapt the key

You can buy a new fresh key from Audi or go to your scrap yard if you know where the associated key is lying around ;)

Another possibility:
* Clone eeprom content from the old ecu to the new one
* Start learning new instrument cluster again
* Adapt your old keys

Then you don't have to waste a lot of money at your local audi dealer.

ok this is what you need to do read your key if it is lockled the programming was successful if not then are you using a tp25 audi canbus chip, then try to programme this all but 3 a4 with rb4 clusters iv done have been can chips and the others id48 for cs post your ecu dump if needed but it should be ok with canbus chips
