Hi All:hello:
Just bought an openbox s11. Using a sky octo lnb dish which is set level with the spirit level and the skew is around 25 to the hour when looking at it from the front. This is how it was set when i took it down from a s*y subscriber 4 streets away from me.
I have a share so i receive all S*y channels. But all the ones that have vertical polorization are displaying no signal and when i press info it reads around 15 to 30%. But with horizontal polorization it reads + 75-85 %. Have read it could be the lnb out of skew but as said its set to astra 28.2. The box is the model with the 3 pin plug on. And i have read reports of a dodgy batch. So not sure what to believe. Any ideas please guys.:dong:
Thank you in advance...
Hi All
After reading around the forums i tried putting my sat finder meter between the cable going in the receiver and the receiver. It cured it same strong signal on vertical and horizontal channels. So is this boosted or weakened the signal ??
Leaving the meter inline for now to receive all as long as there is no problem with this..Any ideas..
Most others that had done this had bought a booster and attenuator after but it didn,t work like the meter..... Strange one...
Cheers detrius
