Hi All,
have`nt used the box recently but when turning on today I find nothing coming up on screen at all, tried to reinstall the firmware and upgraded to 1.17 but nothing, then tried searching hotbird, astra28.2, astra19, still nothing am in SE London with a fixed 60cm dish and wondering if maybe the dish has moved in the bad weather and if this has screwed it up?
Am a newbie so be gentle with me and please try to answer in plain english as the techno stuff goes over my head. LOL
Thanks

What sort of LNB set up do you have,
do you get any thing at all on screen,it is unusual for a fixed 60cm dish to move(though not impossible)
what do you see when you press "OK" followed by the blue button? give as much info as possible.

Hi Peter. If you have a fixed dish you can tell if its moved by using your hand to see if its loose. Problem is you say it was a fixed dish but you tried to search for Hotbird, Astra etc which indicates you must have moved the dish to search for them. Another problem could be that the channel you were watching last time you used the receiver may no longer be available thus giving you blank screen. It would help if we knew what the fixed dish was pointing to or what channels you want to get. Also are your LNB and cable working and connected properly. Regards.

I connected the box up to my original sky dish so where ever that was pointed at is how it was set, i think my original search was on astra 19E and I got lots of the freeview channels but now they are all gone and when I try to seach again on the astra19E it shows no strength and no quality, was wondering if the digital switchover had any effect?:puke:

Only the very very old sky dishes pointed at 19.2e, sky changed to 28.2e sat years ago so try scanning 28.2e, that's if you were watching uk freeview channels of course.

Hi Pete. Digital switchover does not affect Astra 19 east channels. Freeview channels are found on Freesat at 28 east where the Sky channels are. I think you are getting confused between 19 and 28 east ie your dish is or was pointing to 28 east but you selected 19 east on your receiver by mistake which would explain why you picked up Freeview channels. Why dont you select 28 east on your receiver and see if the signal appears. Did you actually move the dish when searching for satellites?? If you moved the dish then you mayl need to re-align again. Regards
