Hope somebody could give some help... As the title say, astra G passenger door deadlocked and motor burned... Managed to remove door card from inside the car and now got acces to motor. Tried to feed power straight to motor but no luck. How can I open that door so I can remove and replace the motor... Should I smash my way inside the locking mechanism? Is there other way? Thank for helping :)

Have you done this before? Where do I have to reach with the metal wire and in what shape should I bend the wire? Being deadlocked are you sure it can be opened with just metal wire? I put my hands inside and pulled all the links but it won't open... :(

just open the door from the inside, take the cover down, and open the lock, by breaking or moving the lock/motor...
on opel or vauxhall most of the times motor is burnt and it breaks the plastic inside the lock and jams the doors, so I think no hooks will help.....

Just an update... Managed to reach and undo the screws that keeps the cover for the actuator and after struggling a bit finally the cover came off. It's tight but do-able :) From there on...a piece of cake. With your fingers find which internals control the deadlock and open the door. After all motor was alright. The culpright is the micro-switch. Squirted some lubricant inside switch and now everything working again... We'll see for how long ;)) That should make it easier for others that will get the same fault. Hope will help others.
