hi guys
i did a estate vectra c 1.9 ecu dpf off as guy purchased car with filter already removed but car was doing regen

sent ecu off to company who do maps 4 me

got ecu back fitted to car every thing ok

that was around 3 months ago

today customer rings me
car not driving more than 30mph no warning lights on

i put diag on and it came up with:

p1604
1.ecu malfunction
2. small injection quantity learning failed

code will not delete

what u guys reckon? ecu or software problem?

im going to request orignal bdm file from company and re write that to check if i still get same fault to rule out software

any other ideas?

Used launch and vauxcom both same fault code.

Ecu was sealed with that black sticky sealant forgot what it's called?

Unplugged egr valve and car seems ok now but will have to wait few days to see if it plays up again. no mil light on with egr unplugged??
Haven't put Diag on it since unplugging egr

maybe ecusafe used to do dpf?

erased dtcs

For sure ecusafe deleted DTC and now you can't diagnose corectly. Flash the original software in the car diagnose and fix the problem then flash a GOOD dpf off solution in the ECU not ecusafe shit.

The Mbtuning are correct , flash the car with a good solution for DPF off and then u can see the real dtc . On EDC16 from vag group the car will be in emergency mode when the ash counter level is high. And when u make dpf off in that case u need to tell ECU that u have put a new DPF.

My file guy is adamant that he did not use ecu safe on it.

If I get a bdm dump can some 1 confirm 100% if it's been ecusafed and also if dtc table had been removed then why I find dtc p1604??

ECUSAFE does not delete all DTC codes, just the wide majority of them. Anyway I suspect the car has another problem because I know what ecusafe does in edc16 opel's and the ash level goes to zero in a few km driven.
I think the car has another problem and because DTC were erased you can't diagnose correctly.

... I know what ecusafe does in edc16 opel's and the ash level goes to zero in a few km driven.

Are you saying that if the ash level is 110 then after installing ecusafe modified flash to the ecu then after couple of km the ash level falls to zero by itself?
