I'm sure 27c512 it's easy to find in Portugal, why you need use a different EPROM?

Because 27c512 in plcc is hard to find , I am looking for this solution time ago , and easiest way is to use DIP 27c512 . I try with 27c010 , 29f010 swap the pins acording the manufacturers shematic diagrams and only waste the time ...:)

what is your country? Botswana ?

You must have in stock, it's a cheap EPROM.

I think it is better to explain to customer he must wait, and make repair right way than make some wire sh..t to convert DIL to PLCC and worry if it does not fall.

My friend,

I live in Portugal too, sometimes is fast the delivery from another country. 2 days from lituania, believe me. I live far from Lisboa and Porto, to me is the same time if I buy in Portugal or another Europe country.
