Hi Curious,
I am using a D-link DIR-655 / DIR-855 and if you have a Wireless N wireless adapter you can reach 300 Mbps.
Apparently D-link wireless N has been voted the best so far.
the only thing you have to do is changed the WPA
security from TKIP to AES on the router.
Found on the internet that the Intel based XXXX n-draft chip drops down to
54 Mbps when using WEP or WPA TKIP .Apparently it is the same for the
Atheros AR5008
I am using either D-Link DIR_655 or DIR-855 with D-Link DWA 645 cardbus. and im getting a constant 300Mbps.
If you are willing to buy one I would recommend to wait few weeks as D_link will release DIR-685.
its an all in one router, you can Mount a 2.5 inch Sata Drive.
and the router has FTP server, AV media server, I tunes server, Built in Bit TOrrent CLient, Print server,Network storage, buit in Upnp server.
Really nice toy.
I am testing it at the moment before the final release and its an awesome piece of hardware.
