just put a new dvd in my wii but it does not read them it just gives the error mesage

Wii's don't play dvd's, Just games. Sorry.

Softmod you Wii and it will play DVD`s (or are you saying that it wont play a Wii game?).

You'll need to softmod your Wii (tutorial here (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f16/wii-softmod-tutorial-noobs-like-me-20545/)) or chip your Wii.

If you've (already) done that make sure you burn the games on Verbatim DVD-R's on 2x or 4x speed using imgburn.

i've never used verbatims on either my 360 or wii i just use cheap discs and never had a problem with any...i do use img burn and only on 2x speed though
