as per the title. Has anyone remapped this car with clone v12 mpps? If so was there any problems at all?

Better do it by a bdm clone.

yes i know bdm works perfect on these but i wanted to flash via obd. Security bolt is a little difficult to remove and really wanted to know if mpps v12 clone will work or not??

When you say "works OK" is this 100% ?
Have you actually read and write st225 yourself?
sorry but i just want to make sure of things before i attempt.

no but i modded a file, for someone ,file size was ok, all maps in there, and he told me he used MPPS to read-write.

First read the file..and post it here..lets make sure it is a full read.

After you tune the file. make sure checksums is OK..and you should be fine.

That's great news, thanks.
Oh and was this mpps clone as per my post? Again just triple checking.
I used to use byteshooter but was so slow and now don't have it!

One last question. Do you know what size file the mpps clone pulls from this car?

Hmm my byteshooter used to read 1.87mb!
Do you know if recovery is possible if using slow speed read?

i never used byteshooter. but i think recovery is possible with MPPS, beacuse i recovered a similar ecu from a golf R32 CAN 2008.

dont worry if anything fails...you can always desolder the eeprom. But let s be positive.

Thanks but I am never positive until job is finished and car is running.
Do you happen to know if bdm100 clone works on these ecu's?

Yes clone bdm will work, but bdm pads are on other side so be carefull when removing pcb

Yes I've done a few through bdm with 555pro before it busted. So I know exactly where the pads are & it's a pain even with hot air on the glue.
Good news is that I have read the ecu in recovery mode and it actually read a full 2mb! Looks like its been modified already when I compared it to the original that I already had.
