no, but you have a simular problem with your own merc didn't you.

w639 ...with that vehicle the key was completely not reconsidered and the thing would not start..
this strangely starts but gives no power to dash.:hmmmm2::hmmmm2:

i will re flow solder in key as with the W639. but cant see how that will help with this one.
will have to wait till it comes back..

I have the same issue on a w203, unfortuantly it only has one key, key will always start the car but most of the time there is no windows no dash no wipers.... when you look at live data in eis or front sam you will see that TERM 15c and TERM 15r (CAN) is always off.

I did have issues before with keys doing this but i Have reflowed this one and it makes no difference, so I a suspecting a faulty EIS.

Will let you know once its fixed

had a chance to take quick look at this one today..

had a look at actual values inside Eis with Das.
both keys were identical, until vehicle was running
then the faulty Key losses power to
"15" and "15R" but only with one key, and only when running.:hmmmm:

i thought that maybe if i removed key from system and then put it back with star that may help...

Well the removing went easy, but it will not let me re activate the key now WTF.. says i need Dealer Key...

Dealer Key????

and at the moment there is one good working key.
and i do not want to loose that one too..

You removed the key with DAS, its asking for a "green" workshop key now to reinstate it.

i am really unable to comment on this fault..
i would say it has to be worth a go, if you are able to program keys..

my problem is, that currently the car is perfect with 1 key, so i don't want to make this car worse because i have little / no experience of these keys..
and i could easily make this car worse...
although as it happens we are thinking of buying this car of the customer.
so if we do buy it then, will think about a 2nd Key..

please update this thread if you fix your issue...and good luck.

Second hand is cheap and easy to find, just renew the NEC chip and write new key in it.

@the_riddler
when you do your repair, why dont you try to reprogram your faulty key also, then we will learn if the problem was in sw or hw of the key. and let us know,
Thank you.
