Hello!

I don't know if I got stupid or something ... but I can't EDC15 on 1.9TDI Golf (good old VP37). I tried on 110HP and 90HP - I can't read neither of them ... removing fuse #11 does not help. I also tried switching laptop ... no luck. :S

The tools I have tried:

1) MPPS v12 (clone) ... does not even find ECU
2) KWP2000+ (clone) ... finds ECU and displays information, however when I click "Read", it does not find the ECU anymore
3) AVDI VAG Commander (original) ... cannot read ECU (diagnostics works 100% OK)
4) Galletto 1260 (clone) ... nothing

?! Can someone tell me WTF am I doing wrong?

Try it on bench with manuel wiring. Your dash and immo may block ECU access.

Golf 90HP is year 1998.
Golf 110HP is year 1999.

that is MSA15, not OBD readable

2x PLCC32 27c010 inside

How can dash (which has immo) block access, if I disconnect the fuse?!

yes, you have to desolder those two chips in lower left corner

Info from 110HP. This car is mine personally. I am 99% sure I had read it through OBD in past ...

So is this is 100% correct info? 2xPLCC32 inside? To solve hot-start problem, I suppose I need to read both of them?

Yes, both ECUs cannot be done via OBD, both must be soldered, ROM memory chips inside

I see here are 2 x B58911 (27C010) inside ... are this ones programmable EEPROM or are they OTP and I have to change them with new ones?

price for 29f010 is a little higher but those are money well spent.

Yeah, I know I can change it with flash 29F010 ... unfortunately I don't have it at hand right now ...
