Hi all

Is anyone able to PROFESSIONALLY remove all unnecessary functions from the e39 ecu in order for it to function properly inside an e30? Eg. EWS,speed signal sensor, traction control etc.

Thanks

I don't think the EWS can be removed on that ECU.

According to the owner it can be removed. Apparently there is a guy in Germany who does them so it's looking like he's gonna have to leave it for zee german to sort out!

Speed you can take from back diff - from sensor, wire it up to ecu.
Write what ews is fitted to it.

Not sure of the ews. The guy has the engine & ecu ready to go into the e30. He did an e30 conversion before using an e39 M5 engine & ecu and sent the ecu to germany to be reprogrammed. I think he had 2 02 sensors removed, ews, speed signal and something else which I cant remember right now lol

I think I know the guy (O.K) but that was for a different ECU.
If he can remove it, then all is good!
