Hi All, I'm a complete technophobe and recently bought my daughter a NDS lite. My brother suggested getting the R4 for it to save me a small fortune on games. This seemed like a good idea and I let him purchase it for me. So far so good. As I'm sure you are aware there are some games that will not play on it
and I don't know why. I've had a look on some of the earlier threads and am still a little confused. The version of the firmware( I think) that is installed is v1.18 and as far as I can tell the hardware is original and not a clone whatever that means. As Denzel Washington would say "explain it to me as if I was a six year old". What software do I need to download and how do I go about installing it without screwing up the NDS. Please as far as this is concerned a six yr old is probably a lot brighter so don't assume anything other than my ignorance. Thanks in advance.

Hi bobon5106,

Thanks for that it seems to be genuine according to the pics but what do I need to install to play more recent games. For example my daughter would like to play Ben10: protector of the earth and although I've downloaded it and installed on to the chip it still will not play due to being not able to save data etc. Any ideas
