I am going to have a go at building a myth tv system for my home to link up all my devices the eventually integrate zone manager for CCTV and home automation but have a few questions I've read the myth wiki etc but want to know if the set up will work
Dell power edge server running myth back end with Ubuntu or mythbuntu
A dm800 and a dm 500 set as network tuners for sat
Front ends
comprised of a pc running ubutu and windows with two Dvbt tuners and a pc Running Ubuntu desktop both installed with myth
The questions I have are is it ok to have a linux back end and windows front end
How hard is it to add dream boxes as network tuners
Is ok to have tuners installed on both back and front end and will front end tuners work with other front ends
Is there a better way of doing this to achevie this type of set up
