You don't have to update to latest images as some come with problems that aren't ironed out yet. There are plenty of other and older images that work fine. The more you flash and tinker with box the more likely you will break it. If it ain't broke don't fix it. What do you mean by tuner fail are you repeatedly pressing buttons or is it everytime you press +- or is it restarting or is it just a split second and then shows.

If you press the ok button, brings up info bar, the red light not flash in that telling you it's recording ?, thats using the vix night skin.

on a clone yes if you change channels too fast. its to do with the way they countered the anti clone measures in the Vu drivers etc and bootloaders.

sorry mate but thats a load of crap. the whole reason for the backup manager and image managers is that you can make a exact backup of your known working system and return to that as and when you want to. there is absolutely no reason for people not to experiment with images to find what they like.

There's that many boxes out there all different makes and of course when you become more familiar with them they become easier to work with and how many newbies do you think use back up. Most people are buying boxes in at the deep end and want latest toy with all the bells. They end up breaking them as we have all done. But don't you think they should do that with the cheapos to start with. The images and files etc can be confusing to you when you start out. Most boxes have been flashed with the wrong file or no bootloader etc etc in there eagerness to get up and running. I never talk crap mate but then I always give honest and impartial advice.
