Hello,

I have buy a cheap receiver to test freesat (it is a goodmans).
I installed everyting and it worked immediatly.

I unplugged the receiver from the electricity and 2 days later I plugged it again. However, it is not working now. It has a strange behavior: it resets. If I unplug the antena cable, it stops reseting and the menu/channel bar appears saying that no signal is detected.

I dont know if the problem comes from the receiver or if it the dish that has moved (not probable). Did you already saw such behaviour with this or other receiver?

(sorry for errors, im french)

Thanks a lot

Best regards

are you putting the sat cable in correct port,if you are and it still reboots ,check the ends of your cable as maybe water has got it.

Hi. NO SIGNAL usually means one of the following:

a) Cables not connected properly.
b) Dish not aligned.
c) Antenna or LNB faulty
d) Incorrect channel selected ie channel not transmitting.
d) Receiver faulty.

If your receiver is a FREESAT one then try and put in a TV aerial and see if it works. If its a satellite receiver then it will be one of the problems indicated above.

Regards.

Freeview = Aerial
