Hi guys i'm in the middle of repairing a simtec 71 ecu, removed gel, removed broken wires. Now having trouble attaching new wires to the outer pads! Is there any special way in soldering to these pads? I've read all the posts on dk regarding this ecu. Thanks

I saw something like solder with aluminum, together,in a post.
I have here a long time solder for aluminum,is like the other we use,
And must be fast to solder to not damage circuit.
Sorry or could change to normal cooper wire
Regards

You need to solder the wires back on with Alusol solder. I use alusol to repair the simtec and audi tcm units and 100%.

Best way is ULTRASONIC WELDER

I use Flux and soft solder wire with Pb and Weller with Max280 celsius

another option is to scrape the coating on the pin with a sharp blade, then it is very easy to soldering
