my cousin bought a couple of cheap tablets for the kids but theres no google market place on them so they cant download apps, is there anyway i could change the software or add market place on them? thanks for any advice

thanks for speedy reply m8, no idea as yet, shes going to drop one off next time shes over, i told her if it can be done the lads on here will know :proud:

ok shes dropped one off , its a arnova 10b
firmware version 3.6.0
kernel version2.6.25
build vo.18.eclair

so any advice how ( if possible ) to get android market on this tablet?

search for arctools in appslib (archos version of market). install it and in Arctools, go to Firmware tab, select ;Arnova 10 G2 EZ custom firmware 1.12; (or more recent than 1.12 if there is one)
Read the disclaimer in the application and press the checkbox if you agree with the conditions, then press the Download button.
It should take about two minutes to complete the new firmware download.
Restart the tablet when the program is inviting you to.

thanks for the info m8, that doesn't seem to work, when i go on appslib & find arctools , i click on it & it just says installing 0%, no d/l option or install option

if you read the following earlier thread there is another way to root and install the same firmware and install play store.

to complicated for me, it assumes you know how to install the latest firmware & i don't, i don't bother with tablets etc. i just thought that i might be able to find out on here or someone might know a step by step guide, never mind its ok
