Volvo Bosch 0285001256 CR16

Hi,

i've got here a volvo bosch 0285001256 srs-unit for clearing crash. Does somebody know where i have to short cr16 on board?

You need to desolder if you want to take the PCB off.

but i have tried to read with carprog like in manual over k-line and shorted pin13 to gnd of the cr16...but "Can't init boot loader"... :(

good afternoon friend today and carprog tested in a Chinese clone works perfect with k line, connect it to the ECU pienes

Ok, but this unit is not listed in carprog software. I have connected A15 cable to the ecu connector like in manual for similar unit and connected power supply to carprog. But maybe i have made a fault in shorting pin13. do i have to lift this pin?

...or do i have to solder pcb back in case with shorted pin13 and then read?

...i think thats the solution, because connector ground is not connected with pcb when it is taken off case, will report in the evening.

hmm...won't work. Looks like carprog works only with units that are listed in software :(

Any other suggestions?

Make a better pictures or read what mask set is written on motorola.

The chip you are showing on picture is more likely to be Bosh chip not CR16... for shure.

I think, that the Motorola MCU is 1H56A, so it is HC08 AZ32A... But as I know crash data is stored in CR16 PLCC44. So that's the reason that CarProg can't do it.

I don't have solution for this type of unit... But I want to find it... :)

It looks like carprog can do only units with cr16 80qfp...cr16 plcc44 won't work... :(

Today I try read this CR16 with carprog and upa-usb ,but nothink. carprog write ,, boot loader problem" , upa-usb write ,,device not responde" .
So with what tool i can read and write this CR16MFS5 ?

CR16MFR5 can't read , so maybe someone can help me and tell with what tool i can read this CR16MFR5?

CR16MFR not possible read/write ith programmers (UUSP,Xprog....). Can only swap ecu from other car. I solve it now too.
