Trouble reading eprom 24c08 SMART radio byGRUNDIG

hello. I need some help reading eeprom from 24c08, i've tried reading on board and off board but comes up only as 0's. i'm using car prog with 8 pin clip. Can any body help me with this problem? I would very much apreciate

to read out of curcuit you need to join pins 1,2,3,4 and 7 together and than read it.

still can't read it but thanks for the tip. I'm going to try with another programer to see if i get better results
