Anyone tried to program a key card to a Renault before with the Original TCODE Tool? Tried one today, car starts but no remote functions. Key card is identical and correct type but remote refuses to work. Car was a 2005 Scenic II. Does Renault Explorer program them well? Heard its very good but dont have it but will get it if it works well, any feedback please?

Have you tested the remote? Is working well?
The card is for Scenic, is it original or aftermarket?
I've never experienced this ever with T-code.

this may be a dumb question?........
how do you tell if the car is hands free fitted/enabled?

then how do you tell you have the correct card for the car?

thanks guys.......keep up the good work!

p.s. by 'Original TCODE Tool' do you mean the 'ad100' or renault True CODE?

I programmed many non handfree cards to handfree cars and remote work
but as normal card

if you put new PCF chip and don't configure it remote will not work

well im no expert on these cards but i would say that if there handsfree then surely the insides of the card must be different to the insides of a NON-handsfree card.

if lost all key cards then telling if you have the right card is going to be a big problem as theres many types.

yes Orignal Tcode means AD100Pro, there basically the same thing but AD100Pro can do a bit more then the Tcode.

Whats Renault True Code?

Basically if the remote doesnt work the problem has to be one of two things:

1. You have the wrong card for the car
2. You havent precoded the card correctly

Now I wish i could figure out why the TCode didnt program this card properly for me, it has to be it isnt precoded properly but i am 99% sure it is, weird!

To tell if your card is a hands free card, read with Zed Bull no need for PC ,If its a non hands free Card, the Display will show PCF7947,if its a Hands free card it wont show this .
If the remote does not work you have the wrong data in Page 6 of the Hitag2,you should always check before programing to vehicle,as once you program and the wrong data is on page 6 then you will never get the remote to function, unless you replace chip and re format.
