First, please articulate your expectations or tasks to be solved by the equipment. Frankly speaking, MB Carsoft can do only reading/erasing DTS, live data (starting W210), and some basic adaptations. IMHO, this device is for newbies.

-Read DTC from ECU , EZS , ESL
-Erase DTC
-Do Start Autorisation Check (Check if Key is valid and can Start).
-ECU Coding (after renew)
-Live Data from Engine ECU.
I ordered 1 unit , install is ok ,
Already tested on W203 , C220 CDI , can only read CDI ECU , other modules cannot communicate.
I wanted to share tips and trick with other owner of this tools.
I know it cannot do advanced functions as MB Star. but at least If I can do some basic tests.

If you need all above-mentioned functions- buy Star Diagnose.

I buy one to ! but I not test yet, for what I read, is good for pre 2004 MB"s, if we want a cheaper solution for old MB!

yesterday I test my carsoft in a w203 220cdi from 2001 !
bin able to communicate width several modules like airbag, SAM, ESP, e.t.c but no success for CDI module !

I think carsoft only work in K-line !
I"m wrong ?!

carsoft have a new software V10, but I think it only work in dongle !

can you post some pics of your tool ! of the PCB !
I have one, once, to make a test, but inside the PCB was different of the one I have now !
what year was the car you tested ?!
because I can not communicate width the CDI unit !

What kind of RS232 port are you using.Diect com port , PCMCIA or USB to serial , I will post picts off mine ASAP. Good luck

HI !
I have pre historic pc, width com port rs232 built in !
hp compaq 6120 ! 2ghz, 1g ram !
today I tested again and no luck even set latency ports time, no luck !
I read some here that the best baud rate is 19200 !
is really dead !
got to get a schematic to fix it !

in IC 11 insted of max232 I have 145048
in R12 insted of ceramic resistor only have solder !
and what do you have in U5 ?!

I think this MB is really creep manufacture !
please o have a schematic please share !
