Ford Transit Rear-Door Chequer-Plate

I have a ford transit van and like most vans rust is a problem exspecially at the bottom of the rear doors, i have seen a picture of a Transit van with a metal Chequer-Plate as a replacement repair / fix , where would i source this from as i have looked over the net to no avail, anybody know where to get them from like the picture below ?

Would suggest you look for a supplier, - ask if they can cut it to size

I was hoping that thier was a supplier that had them ready made, which would save me time and i would not have to do any fidly cutting like where the hinges are if you know what i mean, but i wil give that a go re:- YP as a last result and try to cut it myself.

2) Buy a cheap angle grinder from B & Q - just watch out for tornados

make a card board template and take it to your local sheet metal guys..

will not take them long....they got all the gear..

Think is the conclusion that i have come to, the ones that i have seen that are for sale ready made are for jeeps etc....

What would you attached the plate to the body with ? strong glue, resin / hardener, rivets, small bolts or just a combination of the lot ?
