actually its just a little coded infra red transmitter chip, never tried to read one but looks like it could be fun :)

OM1058T Philips is a replacement for TEA5500 which had code configure by external pins ... OM1058T have that code programmed inside.

You can use plip with TEA5500 if you decode you code (you can check the receiver and if there is TEA5500)
