have a ka in for a clutch and noticed the speedo isnt working ,, didnt check before as it wasnt driving ,, customer says its his daughter and she didnt say anything ,, anyway replaced speed sensor on gearbox and still the same ,

the trip is working just no mph ? its a 2004 model with no speedo cable

anyone had a clock/speedo problem with these before ?

broken magnet in the clock?? can you activate needle with bidirectional control?

it moves for a second when u turn key on .


l was just told by the guy in the body shop he is sons car battery was flat the yesterday and he had to just start it but didnt say wot car he used as he has a van too , but his son got the petrol station in his cosra didnt start and the aa said the immo was shot ? lm starting to think he jump started with this car and put the jump leads on backwards ?

ON TOPIC:-

*THINK* if you press the trip button and hold for 20 seconds it does a self test.

if the miles is going up sounds like head it's self.

have you tried 100 mph down the road?

see if it comes up when going fast.

did a test on the speedo and all needles move apart from speedo head , so must be the speedo cheers

also pressed till O came up and drove and then goes up as u drive car ie digital speed display , so has to be the head
