2 wires and 1 pin connection i think ,it is the oil pressure or lack of it is more of a problem.

thanks, just got rid one one.

That would suggest the strainer on the sump is full of crap.

think next step is remove sump inspect pick up.

Next step would be to attach a rope to the front and tow to the nearest scrap yard :D

If this one hasn't got the usual tin cartridge type of filter but a paper filter with a plastic cross in the middle the check out if the pastic piece ain?t broken. This wouldn't let open an oil passage before pressure sensor and no oil circulating. Had this on a couple oh 206 with 1600ccm enngines, due to poor aftermarket filters.

*CONFUSED*

Teuton - for testing purposes ONLY can the paper filter be thrown away and tested with no filter?

No, you can't drive without filter as there will be nothing pushing on the valve to open it.

So it's a simular idea to the VW theromstat - it presses up a stupid bar.

Thanks nice to know for reference.

so download an O/E filter and gas axe the sump off if that don't work - it's ~~~~ed you needed a new one.

teuton hit the nail on the head, yes the x made ok kak plastic was broken and replaced with new filter and a 5w-30 oil, started up and oil pressure straight up to 5 bar,and hot idling at just below 3 bar, only found out newer filter has a bigger stronger x now,so maybe better to say get oil and filter changed more often and not as scheduled.

mine was an 8valve 1.4 p206sw and not cc as posted .
all sorted and happy customer now.

Could you recover the broken plastic or will it convert into additive?.
Down here in Mex they sell "Roadstar" spare part, prob. China. Very cheap and very useless. They sell everything like filters, brakepads, green tortillas...
BEWARE of this brand or you?ll encounter a new dimension, I promise

2) BEWARE of cheap break pads, the silver lining comes off and if it don't jamb SOLID the wheel, you loose breaks - did have one do it to me
was only doing 5 MPH - which was a shame - could have caused a nasty accident and destroyed thae car - too bad it didn't was a nasty Frogench car.
