1) what was wrong with orginal dash
2) can you extract the pin out new dash and try to reprogramme the keys

not sure, but inthat case, *THINK* use VCDS look at immo data and edit engine ecu if you have to, then extract pin ptog keys in

Thanks for heads up Meaty!

You'll need a virgin dump or a similar dash..I would've thought if you play with dumps you'll need to do checksum too??
Not much of a help I know but you get adlist a free bump

CAUTION - THREAD HIJACKED AND OFF TOPIC:-

*CONFUSED*

Right, did a year 2000 MK IV Gulf about 3 months ago for a friend of lower
intelligence.

He had been reading threads by Justy22 - jumpstarted his Gulf
but what happened was, the Immo data was intact, the milage and check sum was intact, but it destroyed the MFA.

3 hours off-line pissing around with it, wish had done *THINK* this in the first place

1) Write down orginal milage
2) Fitted pre enjoyed clocks
3) IN-corrected new clocks with vag tacho
4) used MVP to

a) Pair clocks with engine ecu
b) pull pin out clocks*
c) reprogramme the now 2nd hand keys (worked 1st time)

The only thing i'm struggling with, *THINK* i ended up pulling the pin code
out codes with someting else, and ~MVP said 'Thanks for the info - GRANTED'

All the files that you uploaded are empty, check it with a hex editor ;)

Hi,

I have 2x solutions for you:

- send me new dash eeprom and I can remove immo message. You must stay edc16 immo off
- I can try to create immo for new VDO dash, but you need to send me old dash eeprom.

Second solution is better because you keep immo. But I'm not sure if it will work. You may recode transponders.

regards,

Bal.

874B immodata is stored in MICRONAS FLASH not in eeprom m8.
in eeprom are only the key ids stored!

edit immodata with xprog m (CS, MAC, PIN)

Hi,

What you say is not true at all..

All immo data are stored crypted in eeprom 24c32. And crypto key is stored inside flash.

You solution is true but difficult to extract all immodatas from visteon...

you don't need the data from the visteon, take it from the engine ecu, and write data to the vdo.
