Hi, I bought a new VU+ Duo and I have been trying to install Ccam all day on it.

I am aware there are lots of tutorials on this but none of them are working.

I am using ViX-2.4.151 image. I downloaded enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam-v_2.1.4_mipsel and I FTP'd this to /tmp

I then went to 'install local extension', and installed it. After the installation, it asked if I would like to reboot and I selected yes. After the reboot I went to softcam manager, but it is completely empty, and there is no sign of any ccam.

I have repeated the procedure a few times to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

Hi,

You need the Vix specific version of CCCam.

Unzip the one I have attached and FTP the file to /tmp as you did before.

That worked great, thanks a lot. A guy on another forum recommned the last one I used for a vix setup aswell.

You saved me a lot of head scratching anyways

cheers

I have one more problem here now.

I had set everything up fine, and I put my boxkey id into the ccam file and everything worked fine. Sly sports and movies opened up fine.

I knocked off the box and left the house for a few hours, and when I turned on the box again, sports and movies will no longer open up, but everything else works.

I have tried putting the ccam file back on again, and restarting the cam, but nothing will work.

Any ideas? It doesnt make any sense, what could have changed in a few hours?

Sorry, didn't realise I was breaking any rules

I'm just trying to get a box working using a subscription card I'm paying for. Nothing illegal.

Didn't realise it was against the rules

Well if your using a Sky card i don't think they would see it that way :)

i dont normally answer about this provider but as
you have a paid subscription this is what
i have read elsewhere that most dont use a cccam
with a official subscription card they use oscam then
the boxid is not needed as oscam reads s** uk cards
without it and that includes premium channels .

Thanks benny, I got it up and running again after a bit of messing around, but it gives more trouble I'll use oscam instead

Hi,

Not an expert, but from what I've heard, Oscam is indeed the way to go.
