Yes, over HTTP (port 80) - the usual way. Port 21 - FTP is for file transfer only, NOT config files.

The address looks something like this:
http://router_ipYou need the admin user and password and login.
Search on the net for "my ip address" behind the router and you'll get your public IP address that is accessible from the internet. Also you need to check with your ISP if you have a dynamic IP or a static IP. If it's dynamic, it will change every time you reconnect the router to the ISP for whatever reason (power outage, router reboot, dhcp/ppoe lease time out - this one normally gives you the same address). The static address is the same every time you reconnect to the ISP.
You can see the local router IP with a command prompt and type "ipconfig". The router IP is at "Default Gateway"
One you're in the router config, usually there is a wizard to make the settings. But that's different on each router, so I cannot help you with that.
Good luck.

No port is unsafe to open, just make sure you have a strong password with small and big Letters and numbers and special characters like !@#$%^&*./,;
If you know how to configure your http server on your router, set it up on another port like 8808 or 112 or whatever between 0 and 65535. Just portscan your router to see if there is anything else on the port you are trying to setup.
For instance my http config port is running on another port because on port 80 I have a server in the network that is using it with port forwarding. In my case I didn't had a choise.

the title said: "port 21 in my router"
so basically you need to set up port forwarding?
eg:
internet -> router (port 2121) -> cccam (port 21)
in this example you don't "show" that you opened port 21 to the internet but you still connect to port 21 on your device.

You don't put port 21 in your cccam config. Basically you want to access port 21 for FTP transfers to upload/download your config file?. You just have to have the port forwarded as per above and connect on that port (2121) with your FTP client, on your external IP address. When you connect n 2121 to your external IP address you will be forwarded to connect to the FTP server on your satellite box. So oce you have configured port forwarding, it's your FTP client config that needs to know the port you want to use 2121.

you need to forward (open) a port in your router (any number of your choice)
then you need to put a line in your cccam.cfg
SERVER LISTEN PORT : (port number you forwarded in your router goes here)
i think this is what you are looking for ?!
and like other posters have said....close port 21 as good chance of getting hacked through there....

Why would you need to get to your cccam.cfg over the internet? Do it while you are at home??
Once you sorted out out then you don't really need to access it unless you adding and deleting content....but that shouldn't be happening all that often...
