when the car is in deadlock mode the locks just spin you mean? Maybe faulty locks because thats common on these bu no sorry i dont know the answer of how to get in to the car because if locks are spinning then picking them is not an option.

Maybe an air wedge and long reach tools?

There is a square access hole to the vertical button linkage in the passenger door. Just about any tool with an "L" bend in the end can go through the opening and then under the linkage, the linkage has a horizontal bend at the access hole. The access hole can be seen with an inspection light, but linkage must be contacted and lifted by feel, since it is inside the door frame.

Jack up car, locate oil level sensor on sump, unplug, power up black/red trace wire.
Next, wedge top of door, then drop electric window by pushing switch with a welding rod or similar.

10 Gold Stars are awarded to you Ninja, only thing that was different was the wire color which for me is Yellow with a Black Trace

Works like a charm on all vag upto about 2007/8 depending on model, but generally, if it has the oil level sensor, it will work, dash light may/may not come on.

Make sure you power up the correct wire as the other 2 will blow the dash up!!(and ecu!!).

Should be the connection on the square end of the plug, done a 2005 passat today and wire was black.red trace.

just a thought but if you fuse the 12v power wire with a 10 amp fuse then it will blow if you hook up to the wrong line thus preventing damage to the ecu etc.

the chances of blowing the fuse by putting 12v to a sense wire are not high, i wouldnt risk that if i were you

worth doing though 'just in case'....dont you think??

you would still be allowing 10 amps of current through a sensor input/output, which would still blow a control unit to bits.

Just make sure you get the right wire, at square end of plug.

I have long known this info, cant be going into details about how/when/why, just be thankfull you now have this info.

I use the 'power up' method on many different vehicles with varing success rates.

pointless, you will destroy it anyway, just dont get the wire wrong to start with. Its not hard to find the right wire

just to add, but not always as you power the ignition on, often the dead man
locking is relased.
