GOLF 4 REMOTE CONTROL

I have a golf 4 and i have been using a key with no remote for the past 2yrs or so,now i got my self a remote control key buy it will not program,i connected my Vag-com and went in to the Comfort/conv and selected 46-central conv and on adaptations i go to 00 and it says error and i go to 01 it says error again,no remote control options enabled or available at all,does this mean this car does not have remote function from the factory?
This is a 2001 golf 4 1.6l petrol and the comfort module is 1 J0 959 799Q-- ZM MIN 5DK00795150.
Is there another unit responsible for the remote control function?
Just confused,cant make heads or tails of this car.

I have just opened the module and it does not have a remote control receiver circuit,what comfort module number can i order that has one connector and has remote capabilities?would that work on a car that did not have remote faction from factory or is there differences in wiring as well?

were is the yellow harness wired to?i have one here with 2 plugs and i plugged it to the blue harnnes and all my windows and central locking work ok but still cant program the remote control.
