Welcome to DK.

What percentage of the games on the drive don't work?

As HH says please post a sysCheck (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/syscheck-v2-1-0-beta-17-2071/) as instructed in that link so we can see if any wads are missing.

Thank you both for such a quick reply. Just one or two games work (monkey ball...) on my wii others (30) don't. When I start any other, wii freezes (black screen and i have to unplug it to start it again). Some games almost start (warning about adequte space around you when playing) - but then wii freezes the same way. Here is the sysCheck report:
(just for an explanation: i have wii for 3 years now and has waspkey. games bunt on DVD-R run smothly. a year ago wiis DVD started reading poorly so I decided for softmodding. I don't remember which guide I followed, but it worked fine at the beginning for few days. Than not any more. And I didn't do anything. It is summer time now and it is time to play with friends...)

And thank you again for help and answers

Your cios from 245 to 251 are outdated or missing install this http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=1485517 (make sure you are reloaded to ios 236 for installation) and the latest usb loader of your choice. I would recommend usb loader gx either v 2.3 or v3 both are available from the downloads section sorry I can only do one link at a time from phone the combination of the 2 should short you out. You aren't running the latest version of hbc either and should be able to choose update from within hbc but that's not so important for running games.

Where is you get these from?

IOS16 (rev 54321): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, Flash Access, NAND Access
IOS36 (rev 54321): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access

The IOS36 in the download section still shows IOS36 (rev 3608): No Patches

I made an IOS16-64-512.wad with NUS Downloader but its still the same.

Just update to d2x v8.0 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/d2x-v8-final-wad-pack-2048/)

The 54321 versions are maxed out versions that are used to stop ninty wiping ios 36 and 16 with an update similar to 4.3 in an attempt to save the softmod and are usually found when darkcorp has been removed manually but there are a couple of tutorials that do supply them. Modmii also uses them if you are on a version other than 4.3 to start with and want to finish the softmod with 4.3 just incase you have darkcorp on the lower system version.

What ios is he going to use to install the 236 wad into keith. ??????????? The 236 installer is there for a reason and his version number of 236 won't matter for playing games it's only a vunerable cios used to install the d2x cios into, which he has already done do no need to change.

thank you for being with me . i am a bit lost. i have installed the newest IOS236 (rev 65535) (although i should not? - it works), updated HBC and am using USB Loader GX v3.0 (previous version is still installed has its own - "icon" at wii menu screen). Everything stays the same - freezes. Now I can try solving a next problem - if this a problem - please tell me. I have two partitions on my HDD - one is wbfs on the other is FAT32. WBFS manager 3.0 works fine and can normally add .iso files to .wbfs on that partition. (have also some .wbfs files on my PC and don't know how to copy or add them to WBFS disk)
USB Loader GX looks fine, downloads covers...
That is about it. Should I format HDD to WBFS only (make only one partition)? Tnx

Yeah. That was the main problem. One wbfs partiotion and all works (but mw3). Thank you both for your help. Just one more question. How do I copy .wbfs files from my pc to WBFS disk. Tnx again

All I was going of is.

As I can see there is a problem in IOS236, or not?

His version is lower than mine and my USB Loader all work perfectly. If he installs IOS236 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/ios236-v54321-wad-1946/) its going to be the same version that he has.

I'm not sure what else is missing as his sysCheck looks ok.

To get mw3 to work choose the game then settings then change cios to 250 then it will work.

MW3 needs to use IOS250 in the game settings else it will just show a black screen with Loading.... at the bottom.

So your problem was how the files were loaded on the drive?

Do the very simple method and use WBFS Manager (http://wbfsmanager.codeplex.com/) I've always used it and I've never had any problems loading games on my drive. The only fault with WBFS Manager is it won't add wbfs files even though its called WBFS Manager. You need to convert them to an iso with Wii backup manager (http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/) though I always use WiiGameConverter_GXS.

You can use wiibackup manager to transfer wbfs file from pc wbfs formatted drive. I'm at the zoo at the minute so can't really go through everything. But just select add game then choose your games and transfer to wbfs drive.
