Hi all,

I wonder if anyone would be able to help me out, i have a skybox F3 that has shall we say been "upgraded" by another.

My father in turn has got wind of this as is keen for me to lay my hands on one for him. i have since ordered a "standard" skybox F3 and i am looking to "upgrade" it myself

can anyone point me in an idiot proof walk though that an idiot like myself can understand? i apologise for my newbie question but i guess we all start somewhere

please help :)

thank you

Scott

I'm assuming its the HD version.

-Download the attachment

-Transfer the attachment to a usb (preferably one that has no data on it

- Plug the usb into the front of the receiver, open the cover on the right hand side of the receiver and you should see a usb slot

- Within a couple of seconds you should see a message appear on the screen saying Usb detected or a similar message

- Go to "tools", click on upgrade by usb, make sure the image file is selected and click upgrade, it will load the data up and a warning box will come on, click yes, make sure you don't try anything whilst it's upgrading or you could brick the box

- Once the firmware has been installed, all you need to do is add the Cccam or Newcamd info, press menu, go to network, cccam client setup, cccam.cfg...The End

If the USB Method is nerving, then you also have the choice of using a Network Tool (software) to communicate with the box via GUI and simplify the process somewhat.

Backup cline, backup TP_PROG etc.

Google SKYBOX F3 LAN TOOL - then decide which method you prefer.

A very clear disscription but I do have a question about this

''Once the firmware has been installed, all you need to do is add the Cccam or Newcamd info, press menu, go to network, cccam client setup, cccam.cfg...The End''

the f3 I have all ready had Cccam installed, go to menu ,network settings, press 6666 ,if nothing happens press ok, but cccam option should come up.Cccam cfg file, the sealion must be put in a cfg file, it should read Cccam CFG File, unless it it put in like your box wont be able to read it.you tube will show you how to make a cfg file.I hope this is allowed ,newbie myself
