When I switch on the ignition the temperature gauge reading full over 100 degree shoots into the red part of the dial and car does not overheat and a warning message on the dash red light flashing stop engine.

I have changed the gauge sensor and checked for wiring getting earth but no joy. All fuses ok,

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Nope another miserable day ahead of me I suppose, I have been reading on google and they are pointing the fault at PCM (Powertrain Control Module)

Will some 1 explain were this Powertrain Control Module is located?

Thanks for your time.

I had the same problem with Peugeot and took me very long to find the cause, check continuity of wires to plug in the computer, if not try to open ecu,the problem at mine was a cooection on the ecu bord thet starts from the corresponding pin temperature sensor. was burned, in the picture b24 is the temperature senzor

I had something like this with a C2 and the fault was with the engine ECU. If you can plug in a ECU from another car and turn on igntion and if it works.Good luck:bounce:

checks the fan diode; tend to corrode and do not drive properly
