wes newton hit the second 9 darter of the tournament thursday evening just 24 hours after michael van gerwen hit his in a top class match with steve beaton, van gerwen hit 180,180,141 out and wes newton playing the ultra slow justin pipe who actually won the match went 180,177,144 out, both finished with the double 12, we still have 7 longer format matches to come so a 3rd is possible. phil taylor who is using a new set of darts looks vulnerable if he doesnt go back to his old set.
