Hey Pro's,

I have a problem :-/

2 Weeks ago I bought a Wii (4.3E) and started to mod.
I used the Modwii 6.1.5 by Wizard by XFLak .. and it works !!
The Wii is open for business !!

Only thing is ... not one backed up game is loading (USB Loader GX 3.0) ... All games freeze, either when starting up or after the title screen.

After 2 weeks searching and trying, my son gets nervous :-).

I hope, at least one of you experts can help this newbie.

Syscheck is fine but usb loader gx v3 I find very buggy. Gx 2.3 is much more stable for me, remove all traces of v3 and install 2.3 (249) you can find it in the downloads section

Welcome to DK.

Now that you've worked out how to post a sysCheck report as instructed in sysCheck (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/syscheck-v2-1-0-beta-17-2071/) it looks ok.

There is a newer version of Homebrew out but that shouldn't make any difference.

I don't find the newer GX v3.0 buggy everything works on my system.

If you want the earlier version download it from USB Loader GX 2.3 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/usbloader-gx-2-3-r1128-d2x-v7-mmm-13-4-1978/)

If no games are loaded or recognised on the drive then is this drive compatible?

I think I may have realized your problem. If you have selected to have partial nand emulation for game saves the games will will not load unless there is already a save file on the hdd, this is a bug that was fixed in 2.3 but has come back in v3 (like I said keith, you don't use emu so won't have noticed any bugs) this usually throws up "disc is not recognized" in white across the screen though. I won't go through the process of getting emu working again unless you get back to say that is definitely the problem

Thanks for the very quick response !
Tried the above method to downgrade
USB Loader GX and still the same result.
So ... tried WiiLoader ... same result
So ... tried CFG Loader ... same result

Conclusion ... monday I'm going to buy an other USB Drive.
This time not a Lacie Rikiki but something external powered.

I get back with some results on monday ...

Anyway ... thanks very much for trying to help !!

Most usb powered drives are very unpredictable, we always recommend mains powered for better compatibility

Hey Pro's !!

Well well well ...

Who could know that I made the most fundamental mistake ever.

Just Installed an external powerd USB2.0 Hard drive ...
Formated it to FAT32 with a downloaded program - Win 7 does'nt have a real FAT32 format app. ...
Installed the backup's on it ...

And ...

(Shouting!) YES, IT WORKS PERFECTLY !!!

So ....

Many, many, many thanks for putting my nose in the correct direction !!

Its the simple things that catch you out.

Windows won't format large drives FAT32 you need to use EASEUS Partition Master (http://www.filehippo.com/download_easeus_partition_master_home/) it free.

I'm glad we have another satisfied user.
