TomTom Nav 7 on Tytn II

I've got TomTom 7 installed onto a Tytn ii and working properly but ONLY if I switch on the phone, wifi or BT. If none of these are switched on then TT7 says that the tytn ii in is flight mode and says "Waiting for valid GPS signal", the map is then grey, there is no status bar info BUT it does pick up GPS position and give directions to the desination.

Anyone know how to get TT7 to work in 'flight mode'?

For now I'm enabling BT when running TT7, but this means more battery consumption.

i might be wrong but these phones use assisted-gps which require the network and the satalites to work together in order to recieve and send gps data etc.

In flight mode ALL radio is turned off,that includes the gps reciever
