how to play avi files from portable harddrive

How do i play my avi files through usb loader from my modded wii...

Welcome to DK.

You can play avi files in the Photo Channel but Wii have their own format for avi files which you would have to convert first but video's are poor.

You could try WiiMC (http://www.wiimc.org/) and have a Channel on the Wii menu.

Or there is MPlayer CE (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/MPlayer_CE) but you might have problems using the Channel wad.
