hi
had a transit come in today, customer messed the remote side of key.

hes opened casing, and made a complete balls up. the van still starts

he came with another blue remote transponder, from another van and wanted it coding, so i called a locksmith to code the second hand replacement remote.

the transponder and remote are incoporated into the consealed unit.

hes tried all day to get the keycoded but has been unsucessful, the van wont even start with the original key

hes said that he had to clear all key before coding, was using ford ids

we only had one mechanical key and two remote fobs, 1 original and 1 second hand replacement, was advised that you need minimum of two keys, but he would get round that by interchaning the remote fobs

on the cluster a message FIC LOC or FIC LOG is displayed

my question is

can you program a secondhand fob or does it need to be virgin,

what does the message mean

what to i do now

the lads said he would be back but i dont think so. any help or a sense or direction is much appreciated

i always use 2 keys if it asks for it

not worth the headache trying to mess around to trick system

Not sure about the mesage, but these remotes are cheap, and its not worth messing around with the used ones, the remote has to be virgin.
On my key programmer you can add key or clear pats,he is right if he has cleard pats, 2 keys are requird.

Ps i wouldnt worry about the message, if you read and clear fault codes, and programm 2 new remotes,it should work.

You can also just program a key with an ID63 transponder in it if you only have the one remote.

get a autolocksmith its a customers van ?
he has cleared the system down under the wrong type
it will run on 1 blue key

second hand blue remotes work ok if transponder reads regardles to weather the remote buttons work
blue remotes charge in ignition (leave on) van still starts if flat batt

here is the fix

remove battery charge up or boost to 12.07 v
read faults and clear do not clear if there is not any
clear system down again under transit 2007
disconnect cycle ignition wait till red light flashes (not always needed but helps)
plug back in transit 2007 add key

job done
