I'm sure you can download this in menu > plugin > extensions on vix.

hi,no tryed that way first just get no new plugins found message.
i might well have to get a newer vix image maybe but don`t want to go to the most recent yet might not like it and wont be able to downgrade as the new bootloader from vix might brick my vu according to the message warnings.
mine is an original.
only missing this plugin though and then good to go.
frustrating

i dont know where your getting your information from but you dont know what your talking about.
for starters ViX dont create bootloaders thats Vu them selves. once the bootloader is loaded you can still use any image new or old as to bricking your receiver loading a bootloader thats only going to happen if your daft enough to pull the USB stick while flashing the receiver.

hi rubber duck,i actually got the info from here
http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f189/vix-team-vu-duo-image-v2-3-19-11-2011-a-239790/
and it quotes in first paragraph
"This image requires the latest bootloader (attached to this post) to be flashed. This is because Vu+ have changed the way the drivers work. So, before updating your image, you will need to first flash the bootloader, then flash the new image. Flashing of new bootloader only takes a few seconds, so once flashing's completed, then just turn off the box, transfer the new image to the usb stick, and flash with that. Also, it is recommended to NOT use older images with this new boot loader, as this may
result in a bricked box."
if i am wrong i do apologise.just reading the forums and info and that quote is at top warning about back dating to older image.
as i say i am still learning and have to say when i read the above worried me thats all.
as i say just wanted to install mytube plugin and my image is not having it for some reason.

at the time of that post it was recommended by Vu that older images not be used once the bootloader had been flashed, but that is no longer the case.
I wont go into any more detail as the last time i did i got a bollocking and told this was not a ViX support forum.

I don't think so i'm sure I read a post by rd recently saying something to that effect something about author revoking licence. Best to confirm with him.

correct, the author pulled the license in the same way as the author of the webinterface pulled the license last year so we can no longer legally use the mytube plugin and have removed it from the feeds.
