You have same car like me, i lifted the 28F200, fit a psop44 socket and now the car is running with a AM29F200BB.

If you plan to program with externall programmer like i did it's best option. If you plan to use OBD2 programming better stay original (28F200) or you will not be able to flash it if changed to 29f200, chips are 100% compatible for read, same "protocol", but not for erase and write, different "protocol" for those operations.

Hope i helped you ;)

Nice day
Camil.

If you have a programmer that supports 28F200 then yes, you can read ori from it, then erase and then flash the mod again over the 28f200 and it will work.

Yes, i think you could use either 29F200 or 29F400, their pinout is the same. For 29F200 you use as is, has same capacity than 28F200, but if you use 29F400 you should flash the first 256Kb from it and leave the last 256Kb full of 0xFF. This one has 512Kb instead the 256Kb the xxF200 have.

Regarding original Sw for your ecu... i think i don't have. Anyway you need to save the first 0x8000 Bytes from your original dump, there's vehicle specific data on them like VIN ... unless you don't mind when dealer connects their VCM/IDS to your car they see info from your donor not yours :)

Perfect, runs as good as the tune you upload :)

If you write original for testing purposes you will notice no difference with the 28f200.
