focus heated rear screen

my heated rear screen has packed up , have check the fuse which is ok , could it be the element? or a relay

switch the heated rear on with the engine running and check for voltage using a multimeter. check the 2 wires which connect to the rear window for voltage, should be around 12volts, if nothing check relay, fuse.
