Once I get home from work this evening I need to look for a laptop. Now I haven't bought a laptop since I got my Dell XPS M1730 I think it is not sure now, but it's the one with the lights on the top lid. Anyway the new laptop will be for the Misses. The. Ceiling is 1k. It needs to be light so she can travel with it, it doesn't have to be power hungry but a decent quad core processor would be nice and a 17inch screen or slightly bigger maybe so she can use Visio, excel and other stuff without any issues. I was thinking of a MacBook Air due to how light they are meant to be but are they powerful? I've only ever used windows but I know my gf has had a Mac before. Just for my own peace of mind can a Mac do everything windows can?
